This 446 hectare property, situated just north of the Fonterra Dairy factory at Reporoa on State Highway 5,has been a dairyfarm since June 1990. The property consists of 80 hectares of freehold land ( Maitland block), and the balance is a long term lease from Whaoa No 1 Trust. Of the 400 hectares of effective grazing area, 313 hectares is a milking platform, and 87 hectares of hill country is dry stock land. The Reporoa Dairyfarm is well managed by Selwyn and Brenda Bartlett, who in June 2009 commenced their nineth year as 50 percent sharemilkers on the property. Selwyn and Brenda have one daughter,Torey, aged 15 years. The Bartlett's are currently employing four full time staff to assist in the running of the dairyfarm. In November 2009 the sharemilkers and staff are currently milking 825 cows.
